Fusion estimation for a class of multi-rate power systems with randomly occurring SCADA measurement delays

Abstract In this paper, the fusion estimation problem is investigated for a class of multi-rate power systems with randomly occurring delays in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) measurements. The system measured by SCADA phasor measurement unit (PMU), state updating period allowed to be different from sampling periods PMU. phenomenon characterized set Bernoulli distributed random variables. To facilitate estimator design, new approach developed transform into single-rate one. First, two local estimators are designed, respectively, based on PMU measurements such that upper bounds error covariances guaranteed at each instant, subsequently minimized appropriately designing gains both estimators.
